Maltese lesson – Sillabi

Kindly follow these steps while working with ‘Sillabi’
Step 1 : Find and underline the vowels within the given word
Step 2 : Clap and divide the word (Kindly note that, double letters are always split,  ‘sillaba’ always starts with a consonant.
Step 3 : Clap/stop/write…. repeat as necessary.

Examples :
bieb – clap 1 time – write bieb

mejda – clap 2 times – write mej-da

gagga – clap 2 times – write gag-ga (always split the double letters)

haxix – clap 2 times – write ha-xix ( very important that a ‘sillaba’ always starts with a consonant)

cikkulata – clap 4 times – write cik-ku-la-ta

Kindly let me know if you need further explanation

Regards

Ms Gaby
